As part of PILLAR’s participation in Plaza Indonesia Fashion Week, the Jakarta-based concept store presents Jan Sober’s ‘The Space Between.’ Rooted in structure, subtlety, and timeless design, the collection explores quiet strength through sculptural tailoring and poetic restraint.

Through his latest collection, Jan Sober offers a sharp contrast: a wardrobe built on deliberate lines and subdued tones. Each look is designed with precision – cut generously yet structured carefully – allowing wearers to embody a kind of grounded elegance that neither shouts nor retreats.

The collection continues Jan Sober’s signature codes: garments are cut with architectural precision, featuring longline outerwear, cropped jackets, fluid suiting, and exaggerated silhouettes – refined and restrained. 

As the collection unfolds, the silhouettes loosen and expand. Tailoring releases its grip: sleeves round out, shoulders drop, and garments start to breathe. In this transition, there is comfort, but never carelessness. Outerwear grows softer in structure yet stronger in presence. Loose tailoring is anchored by sharp edges, while layered looks introduce a rhythm of motion and depth.

The color palette explores a gentle shift through an intellectual palette: off-white, navy, carbon, ochre, forest green, and textured neutrals. These are paired with innovative fabrications such as structured wool, crisp cotton, soft suiting blends, and subtle technical finishes – always serving the form, not overwhelming it.
