Military aesthetic
French luxury house Fauré Le Page has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2024 collection, drawing inspiration from an unlikely pair: French formal gardens and military camouflage. The collection, aptly named “French Garden,” transforms the brand’s signature Scale Canvas into a sophisticated play of green and black patterns.
The brand’s evolution tells a compelling story of reinvention. Originally a prestigious gunsmith serving royalty, Fauré Le Page has skillfully pivoted from crafting weapons to creating luxury leather goods. In 2009, when a French family acquired the historic brand, they maintained its military heritage while steering it toward a new identity in luxury accessories.
Craftsmanship through the ages
The new collection features a range of pieces that honor this dual heritage. The Daily Battle totes, named with a subtle nod to the brand’s martial past, showcase the reimagined camouflage pattern. The design takes cues from the geometric precision of French formal gardens to create an elegant illusion that’s both practical and refined.
From the spacious Dream Bag 55 to the compact Etendard card holders, each piece in the collection carries the distinctive Scale pattern—a design element that has evolved from representing armor to symbolizing sophistication. The brand’s current home on Rue Cambon, near Place Vendôme, places it at the heart of traditional French luxury craftsmanship.
With its motto “Armed for Seduction,” Fauré Le Page demonstrates how military precision can be transformed into everyday elegance. The collection proves that sometimes the most compelling luxury stories come from unexpected transformations—in this case, from swords to style.
