Take a Look at Japanese Watchmaker Orient Star’s New Collection
Orient Star welcomes the holidays with an ambitious collection featuring winter sky-inspired Keshiki series, a titanium anniversary diver, ethereal aurora-themed timepieces, and an innovative skeleton watch
Japanese watchmaker Orient Star, a respected name in horology since 1951, has announced its new lineup, showcasing the brand’s continued evolution while honoring its heritage of precision craftsmanship. The new releases span multiple collections, with each piece offering unique interpretations of celestial themes and natural phenomena.
A winter sky in timepiece form
The Keshiki series, meaning “beautiful scenery” in Japanese, introduces three distinct models featuring translucent sky-blue dials that capture the essence of crisp winter air.
The collection includes the Modern Skeleton (900 pieces), Semi-Skeleton (700 pieces), and Classic Semi-Skeleton (400 pieces), each with an individual serial number.
60th anniversary Diver tribute
Commemorating six decades of diving watches, Orient Star presents the M42 Diver 1964 2nd Edition. Limited to 365 pieces, this timepiece features a titanium case that reduces weight by 35% compared to steel models.
The watch displays a dark grey dial with matte gold accents and enhanced luminosity for optimal underwater visibility.
Nature’s light show on the wrist
Inspired by the northern lights, two new models from the Contemporary Collection M34 (200 pieces each) feature mother-of-pearl dials with subtle gradations that mimic the aurora’s dawn-like glow.
The designs incorporate dual-curved sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coatings. It ensures optimal visibility of the intricate dial work.
Technical innovation in skeleton design
The M34 F8 Skeleton Hand-Winding model, limited to 100 pieces, represents Orient Star’s technical prowess. Notable features include a silicon escape wheel and an impressive 70-hour power reserve.
The grey skeleton movement, visible through sapphire crystal, creates a cosmic aesthetic, with its blue-gradient outer ring suggesting starlight against a darkened sky.
These new releases highlight Orient Star’s commitment to blending traditional Japanese craftsmanship with cutting-edge horological innovations. The brand offers watch enthusiasts a perfect fusion of technical excellence and artistic design.
