Inside Fendi’s Winter Holiday Fashion Feast
The storied Italian house transforms Scottish tartans, prep school polish, and culinary whimsy into a family-style feast of fashion for the festive season

The Tartan revolution
At the heart of Fendi’s Winter Holiday 2024 collection lies the newly minted FENDI Tartan, officially registered with The Scottish Register of Tartans and created in collaboration with Prickly Thistle – Cloth of Identity.
Artistic Director Silvia Venturini Fendi infuses the collection with what she calls a “boyish attitude,” merging prep school sophistication with relaxed elegance. The menswear line features classic tartan blazers and tailored trousers alongside plush velvet corduroy pieces and technical puffer jackets adorned with varsity logos.

Whimsy meets elegance
Drawing inspiration from the brand’s playful 1980s pasta bag charms, the collection introduces “Fendilicious”—a whimsical fast-food motif that appears on the signature Baguette Soft Trunk bag and casual wear. It represents what Venturini describes as the essence of the brand’s familial spirit, or “FENDI Clan.”
Luxury materials take center stage with shearling and shaved fur coats, while evening wear sparkles with Lurex knits and wool suits dusted with micro-paillettes. As Fendi approaches its centenary in 2025, this collection serves as both a celebration of its heritage and a glimpse into its future, proving that family style never goes out of fashion.
