5 Things About Jeff Satur, Valentino’s First Thai Brand Ambassador
The multi-hyphenate solidifies his stature as one of Southeast Asia’s rising stars, not just in entertainment, but also in global fashion
A natural fit
He’s one of Thailand’s most popular artists— a singer, songwriter, actor, and producer all in one, and he’s not afraid to express himself and showcase his passion for his chosen craft. That’s why Jeff Satur, after working with Alessandro Michele for a couple of seasons, has finally become Maison Valentino’s latest brand ambassador—and the first from Thailand, at that.
Jeff joins a growing list of Asian talents who are taking the fashion world by storm, showcasing that our side of the world is definitely the one to watch for the next big things in culture, entertainment, style, and everything else in between. Here are a few things you should know about the Italian brand’s newest ambassador.
Jeff briefly quit the industry in 2019
After working in music for around six years, Jeff decided and work for their family business. During this time, he met a manager named ‘Pop’ who asked Jeff to act in a short film and compose a song. This became his way back to the entertainment industry.
One of Jeff’s music videos is inspired by a Valentino collection
Over a year before Jeff became Valentino’s brand ambassador, he filmed and released ‘Black Tie,’ his first original English track inspired by the Valentino Black Tie Collection. The house explains that the collection ‘challenges one to break the convention [and] the idea of uniformity,’ values which Jeff stands for as an artist who defies boundaries through music and creativity. In the video, Jeff wears two runway looks and two custom-made outfits.
Jeff has an interesting mixed ancestry
Talk about being a man of the world: Jeff has Thai-Italian-Indian ancestry from his father’s side, while his mother is of Thai-Chinese descent. Perhaps this is how he got his universally appealing charm.
Jeff manages and is part of his own agency
Jeff isn’t just a creative force in front of the cameras; he is also extending his talents behind the scenes. Named STUDIO ON SATURN, the agency’s first original series, ‘Happy Ending,’ credits Jeff as the producer—his first venture into this creative outlet.
A supporting role propelled Jeff to further fame
Jeff rose to prominence when he starred as ‘Kim,’ in the popular 2022 drama KinnPorsche. Flexing his musical talent, he also sang one of the tracks for the series, ‘Why Don’t You Stay.’ While he played support behind Thai superstars Phakphum ‘Mile’ Romsaithong and Nattawin ‘Apo’ Wattanagitiphat, Jeff’s portrayal of a young member of a mafia family earned him acclaim and legions of fans.
With Jeff’s new appointment as Valentino’s brand ambassador, all eyes are on him—and the rest of Southeast Asia’s creatives—as more talents continue to raise the flag of our region and leave their mark on the global cultural zeitgeist.
