A Renowned Fashion House Launches Its Spring/Summer 2026 Campaign
Creative Director Jonathan Anderson unveils a fresh vision for Dior’s latest campaign
Dior’s latest global campaign for Spring/Summer 2026 showcases a study on character. Here, David Sims produces photographic works that transform Creative Director Jonathan Anderson’s fresh vision for the fashion house into an expressive approach to image-making.
New year, new vision
Produced both in color and in black and white, the photographs bear the resemblance of visual sketches. In these outputs, information is conveyed through the intentional use of body language, clothing choices, as well as the mood and atmosphere of the setting.
The project’s creative vision utilizes spare and poignant elements within the environment. These include boiserie, parquet flooring, and carefully selected furniture and linens, all coming together to form an aristocratic atmosphere.
The photographs feature actors Greta Lee, Louis Garrel, and Paul Kircher. More prominent figures include footballer Kylian Mbappé, as well as models Laura Kaiser, Sunday Rose and Saar Mansvelt Beck, who appear at rest, in rehearsal, or mid-transformation, existing somewhere between reality and mise en scène.
Bolder design choices
Featuring the fashion house’s references from previous archives, the structure of silhouettes and the material quality of textures take command of the scene. Through this showcase, the pieces re-enter the present with the Bar jacket and Delft shorts. Both articles of clothing present the idea of the everyday with a calm appeal, using tailoring and piped shirting, relaxed denim pants, and knitted capes.
A free and laidback sense of style is further expressed through the following accessory lineup: the Lady Dior bag adorned with tassels, the Dior Cigale with its signature mini bow, the soft Dior Crunchy and Dior Bow bags, and the Diorly. Each piece presents a willingness to experiment with clothes and accessories, exemplifying how they possess a distinct temperament, adding nuance to the personages.
