The Malaysian Visionaries Putting Southeast Asian Models on the Global Map
Hadri and TTFGA started with a simple idea—Southeast Asian models deserved more—but now, Topboi Citizen is relentlessly changing the face of fashion

The duo nurturing Kuala Lumpur’s fashion scene
When Ridduan “TTFGA” Ismail and Hadri Hashim co-founded Topboi Citizen in 2019, they had a singular goal: to challenge the norms and break the mold in the modeling industry.
Recognizing the lack of Southeast Asian representation on both local and international platforms, they set out to create a space that showcased the untapped potential of the region.

“The biggest challenge lies in shifting mindsets—both locally and internationally,” they share. At the time, many clients preferred foreign models, associating them with prestige and status.
But Topboi Citizen, with its compelling storytelling and evocative visuals, has gradually shifted this perception.
Their approach is simple: celebrate the raw talent, versatility, and unique features of Southeast Asian models.
The duo believes that true representation goes beyond tokenism—it’s about creating a platform where individuality is celebrated, and cultural roots are acknowledged and embraced.
“We prioritize working with brands and campaigns that value diversity,” they explain, emphasizing that their goal is not just to showcase beauty, but to reflect authenticity in every campaign.
Redefining beauty standards
For Ridduan and Hadri, diversity isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the heart of their mission.
Topboi Citizen’s roster of models reflects this ethos and breaks down stereotypes by featuring individuals who embody the region’s rich cultural heritage.
From striking bone structures to bold cultural aesthetics, their models redefine beauty standards, pushing for an inclusive industry where all faces—regardless of background—can thrive.
“Our goal is to make Topboi Citizen synonymous with Southeast Asian representation worldwide.”
Looking ahead, Ridduan and Hadri have their eyes set on expansion.
With plans to forge partnerships across Southeast Asia and venture into global markets, they are determined to continue elevating regional talent.
Through collaborations, model exchanges, and creative campaigns, they are pushing the boundaries of what Southeast Asian talent can achieve on the world stage.
“Success for us is when our models walk the biggest runways, front global campaigns, and are recognized for their individuality without compromising their cultural identity.”
While their work at Topboi Citizen has already made waves, Ridduan and Hadri are also making strides in the fashion world with their label, TACT.
Debuting at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2024, TACT offers a unique mix of loungewear and high fashion—functional pieces that remain stylish and versatile.
Inspired by the golden era of Tom Ford at Gucci, TACT aims to create an inclusive lifestyle brand that caters to all genders and sizes.

“We want to create a lifestyle brand that’s accessible yet aspirational.” From sheer black shirts to second-skin essentials, TACT’s designs are a reflection of Ridduan and Hadri’s vision: high fashion, made for real life.
As the duo continues to break barriers in both fashion and modeling, their mission is clear: to reshape the industry by celebrating local talent, breaking down barriers, and showcasing the richness of Southeast Asia on the global stage.
Through Topboi Citizen and TACT, Ridduan and Hadri are building a legacy of authenticity, creativity, and unwavering representation.
“Progress is progress, no matter how slow,” they say, underscoring their dedication to paving the way for others to follow.
