An island’s imprint
Whisky is a time capsule that captures the essence of its origins. For over two centuries, Highland Park has been bottling the wild, awe-inspiring beauty of Orkney, an archipelago off Scotland’s northeastern coast.
It is a rugged landscape where trees struggle against the fierce winds, leaving the island’s peat deeply infused with fragrant, floral heather rather than woody roots. This unique natural environment produces a subtly smoky whisky that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.
Embracing a new look inspired by the natural elements of Orkney, Highland Park maintains its taste. This journey begins with the zesty, naturally glowing spirit of the 12-Year-Old, and continues into the 15-Year-Old’s deep golden pour, defined by its subtle, warm vanilla notes.
A conversation in casks
The experience of pouring a dram extends far beyond the physical bottle. It revives old memories and conversations. Pushing the concept forward is the new collaboration with a three-Michelin-starred chef, Björn Frantzén, with Between You and I, a remarkable 16-year-old single malt Scotch.
“This whisky is like a conversation between memories, flavours, and places. It brought me back to moments with my grandmother in the kitchen, to tropical beaches, and to the quiet sound of a fire fading in a snowy forest. That’s how layered the experience was,” Chef Frantzén said.
Each Between You and I box is customised by Frantzén himself with a spray-paint design inspired by his love of art. And instead of tasting notes, a booklet filled with questions and prompts is included, inviting the owner to experience the whisky in their own way, following chef Frantzén’s exploration of feeling and associations the flavours may evoke.
“For me, it is a totally new way of tasting whisky. So the question is, what will you taste?”
An ode to the elements
This undeniable connection to the land is the pulse of Highland Park, a whisky shaped by the dramatic coastlines and ethereal light of its Orkney home. That connection to the environment is now visually captured in the 12-, 15-, and 18-year-old Single Malt Scotch whiskies, with a clean visual.
The fresh colour palette mirrors the island’s climate, while a subtle wood-grain pattern references the fine sherry-seasoned oak casks used for maturation. The refined glass bottle highlights the liquid’s naturally derived hue and features a “Product of Orkney” icon cut into the glass.
Following Highland Park’s commitment to sustainability, the bottles are entirely housed in 100% recyclable cardboard cartons from FSC-certified forests, respecting the natural environment that created them.
Pouring the experience
The invitation is open to experience these evolving expressions locally. The meticulously crafted core range is available at select The Marketplace, Robinsons, S&R, Landers, and Landmark, with the 12-Year-Old priced at ₱3,270.50, the 15-Year-Old at ₱8,249.00, and the 18-Year-Old at ₱10,399.00.
