A morning unfolded into a day where Malbon’s Buckets Club 003 transformed a year-end tournament into a vivid study of sport, community, and creative ambition
Opening vibe
Morning light settled over the Acacia course at Mimosa Plus Golf Course on November 28 as Malbon Philippines concluded its tournament season with Buckets Club 003. The event marked the final chapter of the brand’s 2025 calendar and turned the grounds into a lively mix of competition and community.
The day came together with the help of an exceptional lineup of partners that elevated every touchpoint, including Helm by Josh Boutwood, Philippine Airlines, Manila Craft, Ploom, Carrier, Condura, Champs Diner, Shiseido, Evian, Rudy Project, Wipe, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Reform Athletics, Nom Poptails, RCC, TW Steel, and Quantum Clubhouse.
Much of the tournament’s character came from its playful elements. The Water Hole, set against the backdrop of the Malbon Manila jeepney, quickly became a focal point. Players climbed onto the jeepney or stood beside it to attempt a shot into a floating bucket placed at the center of the water.
Around the course, muses moved through fairways offering refreshments, and tee houses served Filipino-inspired snack packs. Reform Athletics provided complimentary stretching sessions that kept players loose throughout the round.
Purpose behind the play
Purpose remained central to the design of the tournament. Select holes offered the option for players to pay Team Malbon pros Ryan Monsalve and Gab Manotoc to take their tee shots. Funds from this feature supported Malbon Philippines’ grassroots program.
The awarding ceremony sustained the momentum with free-flowing drinks from Manila Craft and a buffet that brought players and guests together. Winners received Malbon golf bags and merchandise that reinforced the celebratory tone of the night.
