Here’s how Filipino-Egyptian model Gavin Chebat Gets Ready For a Casting
To look and feel his best, Gav keeps his skin hydrated, well-rested, and protected from the sun. He finishes his routine with a signature fragrance—and a specific way of applying it
Looking and staying ready
“I think taking care of your skin is quite masculine,” Gavin Chebat remarks as he shows us how he gets ready in the latest episode of VMAN Vanity.
The Filipino-Egyptian model has been a steady presence across many fashion shows, campaigns, and commercials in Metro Manila. As such, he’s maintained self-care habits that keep him prepared for whatever his busy day throws at him: be it a casting, a modeling gig, or a shoot.
Here are some key takeaways from his routine:
Never skip the moisturizer
As soon as Gav steps out of the shower, he makes it a point to moisturize. He prefers a spray-type moisturizer for a light and refreshing look, and he doesn’t skip the lips. “I think [lip balm] is very important for the pogi points” (‘handsome’ points), he remarks.
A well-rested look goes a long way
For a model to impress in a casting, it’s important that they look alert and lively. Gav keeps the tired look at bay with a few dabs of concealer. Just a dot under each eye (or any area with dark spots) is enough to smoothen and brighten the whole face.
But Gav also thinks long-term: since he heads out quite often, he never forgets to protect his skin with sunscreen to avert damage from UV rays.
Fragrance is your friend
Gav goes about smelling great in two ways: a trusted deodorant powder (which he calls his ‘best friend’) and a signature fragrance. Even the way he sprays is quite cool: four spritzes in a Z formation starting from the neck down to his chest.
