Here’s How Cole Micek Stays Camera-Ready Wherever Life Takes Him
The Filipino-American model, actor, and athlete has an extensive skincare routine—here’s why he keeps it that way

“I just realized how extra I am with skincare, but I guess that’s how we stay young,” Cole Micek quips after watching his episode for VMAN Vanity, where he shared thirteen mainstays in his routine.
It’s quite understandable: the Los Angeles-based model, actor, and athlete leads a physically demanding lifestyle that takes him around the world. If he’s not shooting hoops in the pro leagues, he’s walking the runways and starring in campaigns, from New York to Manila and beyond.
A busy schedule like Cole’s requires a self-care routine that is as hardworking as he is. Here’s how he keeps himself fresh and ready for whatever the day throws at him:
Get products that are ‘extra’
Not only does Cole have several steps in his routine, but he also uses products that offer a wide range of benefits.
“This is my skincare holy grail,” Cole says, referring to the SOS Rescue Spray from Tower 28. “If I can’t do a full routine, this [stays as] an essential step.” The facial spray reduces redness and irritation, keeping Cole’s skin refreshed, especially after a tiring game, workout, or trip.
Meanwhile, the Dew-Glow Moisturizer SPF 50 from Naturium is a tinted formulation that goes beyond hydrating and protecting his face. “It keeps my skin tanned, which I do enjoy.”
Lastly, while Cole has a go-to fragrance from Le Labo, his deodorant from Salt and Stone is scented nicely enough to function as a secondary perfume.
Go ‘extra’ on the details
Pay close attention to how Cole applies his products, and you’ll see that he definitely knows what he’s doing. For instance, he applies his serums and creams in an upward motion—not downward—to prevent sagging and wrinkles.
Cole also dabs his eye cream twice a day with his ring finger, and for good reason. The skin under one’s eyes is significantly thinner than the rest of the face, and the ring finger is relatively weaker than the others. By applying the product in this manner, one gets to hydrate a sensitive area without potentially stretching or damaging it.
Cole also understands that the brows frame the face, and even the slightest tweaks can transform how you look. That’s why he shapes his brows with a gel or serum to keep them nicely placed and nourished.
