Chanel has announced the show date for their annual Métiers d’Art show in New York City. Along with news of the date for the highly anticipated show on December 2, the brand has also presented a short film ahead of the fashion event.
Chanel with a history-making teaser
With actress Margaret Qualley and rapper A$AP Rocky as the stars of the short film, the announcement created a huge buzz across the internet with the appearances of the two prominent figures.
In the silent film directed by French filmmaker Michel Gondry, the two icons played a couple living together in New York City. The film featured A$AP Rocky’s character, as he raced around the streets of the city in an attempt to surprise his love interest, Margaret Qualley’s character with an engagement proposal.
A glimpse of the new masterpiece
In the short film, a few pieces from the upcoming event has been teased through Margaret Qualley and A$AP Rocky’s ensembles.
Margaret Qualley wore a textured tweed jacket, decorated in squared patterns of red, blue, and white. To accentuate its texture, detailed lines of the multi-colored fabric are adorned around her neck, down to the center of her chest. Finally, the look is completed with a pair of blue relaxed-fit pants, and black-and-white high heels.
Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky is seen in a an orange two-piece set, decorated with sketches of New York City. Complemented by dark red shoes and a gold chain, A$AP’s ensemble defines men’s versatility in carrying Chanel’s creations.
The annual showcase of savoir-fare
Métiers d’Art has been Chanel’s annual fashion show since 2002, and It has highlighted the value of French savoir-faire in the fashion house’s creations. In this yearly awaited event, the innovation of artisans will receive the spotlight as an opportunity to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship in fashion.
In the upcoming Métiers d’Art 2026, featured creations include the names of Lesage, Massaro, Goossens, Lemarié, Atelier Montex and Maison Michel. These names are members of the eleven Maisons d’art of le19M: Chanel’s creative hub in Paris, launched back in 2021.
