Thailand’s Rising Stars Showcase RIMOWA’s New Earth-Toned Luggage
Rimowa’s new Clay and Terracotta suitcases, seen on a new generation of Thai stars
Reimagined travel
RIMOWA has introduced two new seasonal colorways to its Essential collection, expanding the brand’s polycarbonate lineup with a more grounded visual direction.
The shades, Clay and Terracotta, are inspired by natural pigments and materials associated with earth and ceramics, offering a warmer alternative to the black and metallic tones that typically dominate modern luggage.
The new hues have recently been spotted on Thailand’s rising stars War Wanarat, Film Rachanun, Pond Naravit, Phuwin Tangsakyuen, Phutatchai, and Peemwasu, reinforcing the collection’s alignment with modern travel and style culture.

A softer take on performative design
The Essential line serves as RIMOWA’s most accessible entry point into its lightweight polycarbonate engineering. With the introduction of Clay and Terracotta, the brand broadens the collection’s visual identity while maintaining its established performance standards.
Each suitcase features full color integration across the shell, handles, wheel housing, zippers, and badges, creating a cohesive monochromatic finish that emphasizes clean design.
The updated collection is available in three sizes, designed to accommodate different kinds of travel. The Essential Cabin is intended for short trips and carry-on travel, while the Essential Check In M offers additional room for longer stays without feeling cumbersome. The Trunk Plus is built for extended journeys, prioritizing organization and durability.
Function, left intact
Core functionality remains unchanged. The collection includes RIMOWA’s height-adjustable Flex Divider for customizable interior organization, TSA-approved locks, and a multi-wheel system designed for smooth movement across different surfaces.
RIMOWA’s move toward earth-toned colorways reflects a broader trend in luxury travel goods, where brands are adopting more subdued palettes tied to lifestyle aesthetics and longevity.
Offered as seasonal options, Clay and Terracotta add a subtle element of collectibility while maintaining the durability and practicality that define the Essential collection.
