MM6 Maison Margiela has landed in Manila, and it has arrived dressed exactly as you’d expect. At Greenbelt 2, the cult label has opened its first standalone store in the Philippines, bringing its particular brand of deconstruction, oversized proportions, and beautifully strange basics to Makati.

The MM6 wardrobe
What’s on the racks is equally considered. The Manila boutique focuses on the pieces that make MM6 particularly good at turning the everyday slightly sideways, with all-gender ready-to-wear, oversized hoodies, graphic shirts, sharp denim, deconstructed separates, and contemporary footwear.
There is one thing you won’t find, however. The main line’s instantly recognisable Tabi boots are not part of the store’s offering. Instead, MM6 keeps things focused on wearable staples with enough attitude to stop them from becoming, well, staples.
