A new chapter for Manila nightlife

Every city has its own rhythm after dark. In Manila, the transition from work to nightlife often begins with a simple question: where to go next. Johnnie Walker is answering that question with Johnnie Walker Ruby Nights, a new series of curated nightlife experiences designed to bring together cocktails, music, and social connection across some of the metro’s most popular bars.

At the center of the experience is Johnnie Walker Black Ruby, the newest expression from the Johnnie Walker portfolio and the sweetest interpretation yet of the iconic Black Label.

Developed by Master Blender Emma Walker, the whisky combines fruit-forward notes with the signature smoky depth and smooth finish that have defined Johnnie Walker Black Label for generations.

The initiative aims to introduce consumers to Black Ruby through a collection of venue-specific experiences that showcase the whisky in unique cocktails, paired with curated music programming and nightlife activations.

What is Johnnie Walker Ruby Nights?

Johnnie Walker Ruby Nights is a multi-venue nightlife series taking place across Metro Manila and select destinations outside the capital. The concept focuses on transforming the traditional after-work drink into a more immersive evening experience through cocktail culture, live music, and social gatherings.

The series officially launched at The Spirits Library in Poblacion, Makati, one of the city’s well-known cocktail destinations. Each participating venue creates its own signature cocktail featuring Johnnie Walker Black Ruby, giving guests a different way to experience the whisky while mirroring the character of the bar itself.

Each Ruby Nights venue offers an exclusive cocktail designed around Johnnie Walker Black Ruby.

At The Spirits Library, guests can order the Librarian’s Julep, a cocktail made with Johnnie Walker Black Ruby, spiced raspberry shrub, creole bitters, and strawberry popping pearls.

Meanwhile, Medusa at The Palace in Bonifacio Global City offers the Ruby Reverie, a blend of Johnnie Walker Black Ruby, cherry liqueur, amaretto, Earl Grey syrup, and orange bitters.

These limited-edition serves are available only during Ruby Nights activations and are designed to portray the personality of each venue while staying true to the whisky’s signature balance of fruit and smoke.
